Step by step tutorial video

Obtaining and installing the Cisco VPN Client

The VPN client can now be found in "My Akron Experience" under the Technology Support section of "My Akron Experience". The file may also be obtained from the ZipSupport Center. You will need a USB flash drive, or other portable media to which our support experts will copy the file.

Alternatively, you can connect directly to the Home Use Downloaded center: http://uakron.onthehub.com/

Fix for Windows 8 and 8.1

There is a way to get the VPN to work on Windows 8 and 8.1, but it is not an official fix supported by either Windows or Cisco. What that means is that we can not guarantee with 100% certainty that it will work on your computer, however it should most likely work. In order to get the VPN to work, install the VPN and then download this for 64bit machines or download this for 32 bit machines file. After downloading the file just open it and click yes when it asks you if you want to let it make changes to your computer. If you are curious as to what exactly the file does, just right click on it after downloading and choose Edit
