Testing The Network Strength on Various Devices
Windows
1.) |
1 - Install the free WiFi Analyzer app from the Microsoft Store.
2 - The app can be installed here: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/p/wifi-analyzer/9nblggh33n0n
3 - Click Get then click Install.

Launch the app after it is finished downloading.

Press Yes to let WiFi Analyzer turn your Bluetooth and WLAN on or off.

1 - Select United States on the right.
2 - Then select Close at the bottom.
3 - If your machine is connected to the wireless network you should be met with a screen similar to the image on the right:
4 - The number that you are looking for is the -68 dBm or something similar.

MacOS
1.) |
MacOS has a built in Wireless Diagnostics Tool. To access this tool, complete the following:
1 - Press and hold down the Option key, located next to the Command key.
2 - Then click on the Wi-Fi symbol in the toolbar located at the top of your screen.
3 - Next select Open Wireless Diagnostics….
4 - Locate the RSSI number listed below Roo-Secure (In this case it is, RSSI: -70 dBm).

Apple/iOS (Includes iPhones and iPads)

Install the free AirPort Utility app from the Apple App Store.

1 - Open the Settings on the device and scroll down to AirPort Utility and open it.
2 - Turn Wi-Fi Scanner on.

1 - Open the AirPort Utility application.
2 - Select Wi-Fi Scan in the top right corner.
3 - Press Scan when prompted.
4 - Once the scan is complete, it will list all available wireless networks.
5 - Look for the Roo-Secure network closest to the top for the network strength results.
6 - This is indicated by the number between 0 and -100 next to the RSSI. The closer to zero the better.

Install the free WiFi Analyzer app from the Google Play Store.

Open WiFi Analyzer after installing.

Click the Eye Symbol and select AP List.

You can find the signal strength listed in the Box as shown to the right:
