You can clear your Safari history and cache by:
Yosemite
- With Safari open, click the Safari menu
- Click on Clear History and Website Data
- Change the time frame to All history and click Clear History
Lion/Mountain Lion/Mavericks
- With Safari open, click the Safari menu
- Select the Reset Safari
- Check on Remove all website data
- Check on Close all Safari Windows
- That is the only option that must be checked for this, however, other options may be checked as you deem necessary.
