This is a tool to facilitate tier2 communication with PeolpeSoft V9.
Requests for this software must be granted through the SMS Deployment team with an explanation for their request.
During the installation, you may see several windows "pop up" here and there, quite possibly at the same time. Two things to look for:
1. When the PeopleTools portion has completed, you will see:
Click OK -- this portion is complete
2. While the Oracle piece is installing, the DOS "black box" will appear displaying many messages. At some point you will see the following:
Click "Unblock" and the install will continue.
Eventually, you should see messages similar to:
The installation of Oracle Client was successful. Please check 'C:\Program Files\Oracle\Inventory\logs\silentInstall2008-08-07_01- 36-01PM.log' for more details. Please press Enter to exit...
Press Enter, and the Oracle Client piece will be done.
At this point, everything should be installed and ready to go.
The install should supply the user will a current tnsnames.ora file.
If you can't access a resource that should be available you could try copying the production tnsnames.ora file
from K:\PS Config Files\Oracle Configs\tnsnames.ora
