Problem: System indicates that the program loaded successfully but there is no desktop icon.

Possible Solution:

  • Go to:
  • START – PROGRAM – NOLIJ CORPORATION – NOLIJ WEB
  • RIGHT Click on ‘LAUNCH NOLIJ WEB’
  • Scroll down to ‘Send To’
  • Scroll down to ‘DESKTOP (Create Shortcut)
  • You should have a new Nolij Web Icon on your Desktop.

Problem:System indicates that the program loaded successfully, but Nolij is not listed in your programs

Possible Solution:

You may not have administrator rights on your computer. Please contact your System Administrator to add your UANET ID as an administrator on your computer and reload Nolij Web.

If that does not solve the problem, please contact the Nolij Web Administrator.

Problem: Unable to ‘drag and drop’ documents into a student’s folder.

Possible Solution:

Student Folder may be ‘locked’ by another user. Check the lower left hand corner of the Computer System Task Bar or Hit the button on the Nolij Web tool bar – this displays any notification messages.


Problem: machines don’t appear in admin console

If the machines don’t appear in the admin console, software can not be deployed to them. There are a number of things that could cause a machine to not appear: • It could be that the name that they gave was incorrect. Just have the users double-check and make sure that they provided the correct computer name. • It could be that the machine has been offline for several weeks and has been purged from SMS as part of the client clean-up process. This sometimes happens with desktops that are seldom used and with laptops that have been taken off-campus for an extended period. When the machine comes back online it should reappear in the admin console after a few hours. • It could be that the SMS client software on the machine has a problem or that it was never installed correctly. If this is the case, the user should call the help desk to open a ticket to have someone from our area troubleshoot the problem. Once everything checks out and the machines appear in the console, software can be pushed out to them…

  • Problem:

You can not scan into Nolij Web.

Possible Solution #1:

• Start>All Programs>Microsoft Office>Microsoft Office Tools>Microsoft Document Imaging

• Select Tools>Options. Go to the ‘Other’ Tab & click on the ‘Reset’ button.

• Click OK, close MS Document Imaging, close NolijWeb and try again.

• Open Nolij Web -> Click on the SCAN icon drop down arrow -> Select Device -> Click on Kodak i40 or which ever scanner you are using for your scan.


Error creating thumbnail: Unable to save thumbnail to destination


Possible Solution #2:

The Nolij Web Administration will check to see if RIGHTS have been set for scanning and/or .TIFF format document.

Problem: The following error occurs when logging in to Nolij Web: [Microsoft][ODBC Driver Manager] Driver’s SQLAllocHandle on SQL_HANDLE_ENV failed

Solution:

You are trying to connect to the database using an ODBC Data Source that is not available or no longer exists; contact the Support Desk to have the latest version of Nolij Web pushed to your computer.
