• Students / Faculty and Staff should connect to rootown from the steps listed. If you are a guest of the university, you should connect with uaguest

Connecting The iPhone/iPod Touch/iPad to the wireless network

NOTE: You must have the iPhone 2.0 firmware to connect to rootown

• Tap Settings
• Tap Wi-Fi
• Make sure Wi-Fi is set to On
• Under Choose a Network, tap Other
• In the Name field, type rootown
• Tap Security
• Select WPA2 Enterprise
• Enter your UAnetID and password in the username and password fields
• Tap Join

NOTE: If you have joined the "uaguest" network before this setup and it keeps connecting to it, find the network under Settings > Wi-Fi, click on the arrow next to the network, and select "Forget This Network." This will drop the profile for "uaguest" and use your new rootown one.

For Faculty

NOTE: You must have the iPhone 2.0 software to connect to the exchange server

• Tap Settings
• Tap Mail, Contacts, Calendars
• Tap Add Account
• Tap Microsoft Exchange
• Enter your email address
• Enter your username in the following format:
  • Domain: uanet
  • Username: your uanet id
  • Password: your password
• Tap Next
• If prompted for a Server, enter exchange.uanet.edu
• Click Next
• Click Save
