Google Apps Outlook 2007/2010/2013

Outlook 2007 Setup
- Click/Select Start -> Control Panel -> Mail
- Click/Select E-Mail Accounts…
- Click/Select “New”
- If you already have a @uakron.edu account configured you may delete that because the e-mail should already be migrated to the @zips.uakron.edu and the @uakron.edu will no longer receive incoming email
- Click/Select “Microsoft Exchange, Pop, IMAP, or HTTP”
- Click/select “Next”
- Click/Select “Manually configure server settings or additional server types” at the bottom of the window
- Click/Select “Next”
- Click/Select “Internet E-Mail”
- Click/Select “Next”
- Enter
- Your Name
- E-Mail address (uanetid@zips.uakron.edu)
- Incoming Mail Server: pop.gmail.com
- Outgoing Mail Server: smtp.gmail.com
- User Name: Your UANET ID@zips.uakron.edu
- Password:Your password
- Click/Select “More Settings…”
- Click/Select “Outgoing Server” tab
- Click/Select “My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication” box
- Click/Select “Advanced” tab
- Click/Select “This server requires an encrypted connection (SSL)” box
- In the “Outgoing server (SMTP)” box enter, 465
- Click/Select “OK”
- Click/Select “Finish”
