The EZProxy link generator is a hosted web application that allows users to transform links to library resources (like hosted video and other resources that require some form of authentication to view correctly) into links that will work when sent to other users or when embedded in documents or Springboard!

When links are not generated in this way they will not display correctly when followed from a different browsing session. For instance, if a link is copied from the address bar of a web browser and sent by email or instant message to another user or pasted into a Springboard! page, the user who attempts to follow that link will end up an authentication page which will most likely not work for them.

The Link Generator works by asking the user to paste a URL in the top box which may be copied from a browser's address bar and the clicking a "Generate Link" button at the bottom of the page. The second box will then contain a link that will work if copied and pasted into any sort of document or communication other than a Springboard! page and the third box contains a link that can be copied and pasted into Springboard pages and materials.
