These are some common email settings used by The University of Akron.

Students (On/Off Campus)

POP Access
Incoming Mail Server:
Outgoing Mail Server:

IMAP Access
Incoming Mail Server: (use port 993)
Outgoing Mail Server: (use port 465 or 587 and requires SSL)

Web Access
Web Address:

IMAP or POP Email Access (Faculty/Staff)

Off-campus or On-Campus IMAP/POP Connection

Outlook Web Access (OWA)
Web Address:
NOTE: Outlook Web Access (OWA) is available anywhere with or without a VPN connection.

Email Client Access
Incoming Server (IMAP): Port: 993
Outgoing Server (SMTP): Port: 587
NOTE: If your email client requests an account type, use Exchange Activesync. Otherwise, use IMAP.
