Using Horizon Virtual Desktop technology, The University of Akron has expanded lab access for some computer applications to all students and faculty. This “always-on” environment means you can access these programs at any time using any device anywhere you can get internet access.

  • Opens up potential for additional software titles and functionality that was previously unavailable
  • Ability for students to save data to their Google Cloud Drive via the browser as well as local client drive
