Although the visual presentation of this process may vary greatly between mobile device manufacturers and mobile service providers, it will remain the same, in principle. To configure a Windows Mobile 6.0 Device to work on the wireless network, perform the following:

Setting up "UARH"(WPA2)

  1. Enable your device's wireless card. This typically done in the Connection Manager and varies widely from device to device
  2. Click Start -> Settings
  3. Click on the 'Connections' tab
  4. Click on 'Wifi'
  5. Highlight "UARH" in the list and click Connect.
  6. Click "Next"
  7. Change the Authentication option to "WPA" and Data Encryption to "TKIP"
  8. Click "Next"
  9. Make sure the box at the top is checked and that EAP type is set to "PEAP" (If you receive an error that the server cannot be reached, ignore it and click "OK" on the pop-up box)
  10. Click "Finish"
  11. You will be prompted for your credentials. Your UANet ID and password should be entered, leave the domain blank, check the "save password" box, and click "OK"

You should now connect automatically whenever your wireless card is enabled and you are in range of "UARH."
