Zipline Certificate Error

You may be met with an error message that looks like the following image on the right:

This issue appears to be most prevalent with users running Internet Explorer and Windows XP, although it can occur on other systems.

Resolution

There are three possible solutions for this issue.

1. Utilize the Reset Browser settings for your browser first. Close out of all web browser windows and try again. Continue to the next step if this does not work.

2. Check the clock on your computer. Ensure that it has the correct date and time. If the date and time are significantly off, it can cause a certificate error on Zipline. If it is incorrect, correct the date and time, close out of all web browsers, and try again. Continue to the next step if this did not fix the issue or the clock is correct.

3. If you have been able to login before but it stopped working, the certificate for Zipline may need to be updated. Right click [this link] and save it to your computer. Double click the file on your computer. Nothing appears to happen, but it does update the certificates. Try closing out of all web browser windows, open a new one, and try Zipline again. You may need to restart your computer as well.
