| | WARNING! The uaguest wireless network does not use encryption! It is possible for someone using a wireless sniffer to see your network activity. It is highly recommended you use a VPN connection once connected to the uaguest network. |

Connect to uaguest
Windows XP
Click on Start, Control Panel, then Network Connections Right click on the wireless card.
Click on the Wireless Networks tab. Click on the Add button
Enter the Required network information
Click OK to all open network dialog boxes.
Windows Vista
Windows Vista can detect non-broadcast network which makes setup easier.
Right Click the network icon near the clock in the bottom right corner
Select Connect to a Network
Find the network that says "Unnamed Network" and says "Unsecured Network"
Double click it and enter 'uaguest' for the network name and hit Ok
This automatically creates a profile for future use and will connect you to the network
Open up your browser and follow the on-screen prompts
OSX 10.4 and 10.5
Go to the Airport icon in the upper right corner
Select either Other network or Join Other Network (depends on your version)
Enter 'uaguest' for network name and set security to Open or None
Click connect
This will create the proper profile for future connections and should connect you to the uaguest network
Accept User agreement
When you attempt to visit a non-university website (something other than *.uakron.edu and *.uanet.edu) you will be directed to a network EULA page. Once there, you will be required to accept the terms of use. You may also need to allow pop-ups in your browser.
