Broadcom Utilities

Broadcom wireless cards are the easiest and most simple cards to setup. All Broadcom cards can use the same utility. Click here to download the Broadcom wireless utility.
To return back to the Wireless Setup, click here. Otherwise we will now demonstrate how to setup the Broadcom wireless utility for the University of Akron's network.
The drivers can be found on the fileserver \\130.101.224.93\helpdesk\Wireless\broadcom\generic

Setup Instructions
- Right-click the Broadcom Utility icon (upside-down V in red).
- Click Open Utility
- Click the down arrow by Add.
- Click Use Utility (not wizard)
- Type in the Network Name (SSID) tsunami
- Select 802.11X in in Network Authenication.
- Under EAP Method select LEAP
- Enter UAnet ID in for the User Name
- Enter the password and again in confirm password.
- Click OK.
